International Music Video Competition
Rules
ELIGIBILITY
To be an eligible contestant, you must have been involved in the creation and/or production of a music video. By entering a music video to the IVMA’s, you attest that you have the full rights to distribute and release the video. Any number of entries may be submitted by either companies, artists or individuals involved in the creation and or production of the video. This includes (but is not limited too) directors, producers, editors, DP’s or others who have rights to the distribution of the music video.
ENTRY FORMAT
Submissions via mail are to be done in either DVD or VHS formats. We highly recommend that you retain a copy of all submitted materials and that you institute methods to track your shipments as we DO NOT take responsibility for any damages or losses incurred to shipped material.
The proffered format for electronic submissions is as an MPEG. Again we do not take any responsibility for damages incurred during shipping, handling or electronic transmissions.
ENTRY FORMS
Each contestant MUST fill out one payment summary AND one entry for EACH video that is submitted. The iMVA retains the right to disqualify entries received without the appropriate forms. Disqualified entries will be returned if appropriate packaging and postage is included as outlined below.
ENTRY FEES
Entries will not be processed unless the appropriate fees are pre-paid or included with the entries. We provide two types of submissions; those for professional music video producers and those for student and amateur level video creators.
PROFESSIONAL
$50 each video entry
$30 each video entry into an additional category
STUDENT
$20 each video entry
$15 each video entry into an additional category

All fees must be paid in US currency. If you chose to pay for your entry online, please be sure to note the online payment code that is supplied with your payment, be sure to note this payment code on your entry submission form.
CATEGORIES
Each entry must be submitted for a particular category. It is up to your discretion as to how many different categories you wish to enter a single video. You may also enter several videos in different categories rather than submit a single video in multiple categories. We do not categorize submitted material.
RETURN OF ENTRIES
Due to the fact that we do not provide for the return of submitted materials, we strongly recommend that you retain copies of your original work. However, if it is imperative for you to have your material returned, we will make every effort to return videos/ DVD’s. In order to do this, you MUST enclose a self-addressed envelope/ box and $25 per video/ DVD submitted to cover both the postage as well as handling fee. Entries received without the return envelope and money will not be returned and will be destroyed after six months after the competition deadline. We do not take responsibility in tracking/ locating lost submissions.
USE OF VIDEOS BY THE iMVA
All entrants agree that any materials submitted to the competition may be used by iVMA for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to the promotion of the iVMA. Copyrights and all other rights remain that of the entrant or his/her client.
